My tip to hit longer shots:
Maintain a straight line at the start of your takeaway.
Losing coordination and power in your swing often
comes from a bad first move away (takeaway) from the ball. The ideal address position is such that your left arm and the shaft of the club form a straight line down to the ball. As you start your backswing, that
line should remain intact for the first 60 cm of the clubheads journey away from the ball. This promotes a one-piece takeway, which help to synchronize your arm-swing with your body-turn and will create a wide
swing arc to produce powerfull shots.
